Free UI Investigation Training: Incident identification, Requirements, Tips and Prevention Strategies

Summit DD’s MUI team will be offering a free training on UI investigative procedures and best practices this Spring. This training will review the Unusual Incident process from start to finish including:

1. Defining an Unusual Incident and discussing common examples
2. Demonstrating how to complete a detailed UI Report (UIR)
3. Reviewing Rule requirements for provider investigations, including tips to thoroughly identify causes and contributing factors, and develop prevention plans
4. Reviewing the UI log process and its importance in identifying trends/patterns and preventing MUIs

Summit DD will offer two sessions for this training,

• one on 4/19/24 at our Barberton location and
• one on 5/13/24 at our Cuyahoga Falls location.

Both sessions will also be offered virtually, if you are unable to attend in person. To sign up, please use the link below and make sure to indicate whether you will attend in person or virtually.
