Event Description
This class is for providers who are already certified with the Ohio Department of DD and need to complete the annual training requirements to maintain their certification. This training builds on the foundations of the Initial Provider certification class. Training meets DODD annual requirements described below.
The annual certification training requirement per rule 5123:2-201 of the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities includes review of the following topic areas:
- An agency provider’s role and responsibilities with regard to services including person-centered planning, community integration, self-determination, and self-advocacy
- The Rights of Individuals with developmental disabilities set forth in sections 5123.62 to 5123.64 of the Ohio Revised Code
The requirements of rule 5123:2-17-02 (Addressing Major unusual incidents and unusual incidents to ensure health, welfare, and the continuous quality improvement) of the Administrative Code including a review of health and welfare alerts issued by the department since the previous year’s training.
This training will be held in the Lower Conference Room of Summit DD (B-wing door #14). Registration is required. Click here to register.
