Event Description
This training investigates the value of the team and teamwork in the field of services to individuals with disabilities. Participants discuss the stages of team development, coupled with the common team and individual behaviors associated with each stage. Participants will also explore the traits of a good team member along with the elements necessary for the existence of a great team, and types of team communication. Discussion will revolve around barriers to effective communication with a focus on how to work through these barriers. Role-playing activities will promote skills in the giving and receiving of constructive criticism within the team.
