Upcoming MUI Rule Update

In the first half of 2025, an updated version of the MUI Rule is scheduled to come out.

There will be changes to some MUI categories and the process for how Category C cases are reviewed. There will also be changes to the UI process and how County Boards review UI Logs for Quality Assurance purposes amongst other changes. Read More ›

MUIs when there is no Provider Present

MUIs occurring with no provider at the time of incident are up 20% from 2023. These incidents accounted for 24% of all MUI categories, to include 31% of all Category A MUIs, and are up 4% in total as compared to 2023.

While these incidents may have occurred when an individual was not receiving paid services, it does not mean that they receive no paid services. Many of the incidents occur during unsupervised alone time or when someone is not receiving drop-in services, and most individuals involved receive day services, NMT, and/or some form of HPC. 2025 Summit DD MUI Accreditation Results

During the month of January, The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) came to Summit DD to conduct our accreditation review.
