Intake Investigative Agent II, Kim Bell has been with Summit DD for nearly 20 years. While Bell initially got an accounting degree from Stark State College and spent several years working in the field, she says that she knew she wanted to do something where she could help people and make a difference. In 2003, she began working with Summit DD. She has worked in various roles throughout her time with the Agency and joined the MUI department in 2016 after obtaining her IA certification.
“I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy working here,” Bell reflected of her tenure with Summit DD. “I always enjoyed getting to work with individuals, providers and SSAs.
Bell acknowledges that her position as an Intake Investigative Agent can be challenging at times, but enjoys that she can continue to make a positive impact in her role. “After being in this role for 6 years, the job can still be overwhelming at times,” she said. “But knowing you are working to help individuals have better lives and working to make the MUI process better for people makes it worth it.”
When Kim is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs. She loves to stay active walking, running and hiking. “Spending time in Tennessee hiking mountains, seeing amazing sights or just relaxing at our camper is one of my many pleasures in life.”
