Eliminate overgrowth and manage natural areas. Application of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. Responsible for lawn maintenance. Removal of snow and ice. Responsible for installation of plants to ensure success of growth, meet the parks landscaping plan and original design specifications. At least 1-2 years’ experience working in a public garden, zoological park or similar facility is preferred. College degree in horticulture, landscape architecture, botany, or related field preferred. ODA Pesticide license is preferred but not required.

This role will assist in required routine cleaning and trash pickup. This position will be responsible for assisting in snow mitigation as needed.

A background of work in landscaping is preferred, but not necessary. Candidates should be able to walk for extended periods, carry or push heavy items (such as wheelbarrows), bend or kneel repeatedly and safely traverse uneven terrain. This position works exclusively outdoors in most weather conditions. On-the-job training is provided.
