Darann Riley is the Director of Service and Support Administration at Summit DD, with more than 30 years of experience in the developmental disabilities field, including 28 years with Summit DD. She has spent nearly 20 years in leadership, developing programs and leading teams that improve services for individuals and families across Summit County.
Darann works closely with the Behavior Support and MUI teams to support individuals with complex needs. She has helped establish collaborative initiatives, including:
- the Mental Illness and Intellectual Disabilities (M.I.I.D.) Team,
- the DD Connect Program in partnership with Judge Cable of the Akron Municipal Court,
- an interdisciplinary intensive treatment team focused on prevention,
- stabilization, and caregiver training and a newly created multi-system youth team.
- She also partners with Randal Huber from MUI to provide quarterly Crisis Intervention Team training for law enforcement across Summit County.
Outside of work, Darann continues to serve and bring hope to others through her church community. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, two adult children, and her grandchild.
