MUI Staff Spotlight: Stacy Emig (Ross)

Meet Investigative Agent, Stacy Emig (Ross).

Stacy Emig (Ross) was a student athlete at the University of Akron, playing softball and majoring in Family and Child Development with a concentration in Special Education. Her passion for the DD field has been present for as long as she can remember, as she grew up with a brother who has disabilities. Stacy saw her parents act as strong advocates for her brother and this inspired her to advocate for those with disabilities as well.

“Seeing them be the voice for him lead me to the DD field,” shared Emig. She has served individuals as an Investigative Agent and SSA since 2004 in both Stark and Summit County, with the majority of it (almost 20 years) as an Investigative Agent.

Emig believes Summit County has been a pioneer in many ways for individuals, and being a part of the team to help others reach positive outcomes has been very rewarding.

In her free time, she enjoys being a mom to a teenage daughter. “I love watching her play JO volleyball and also enjoy coaching her travel softball team. I am also serving my 3rd year as our school youth softball program’s Board Secretary. I enjoy working in my woodshop, being a dog mom, being with family and friends, and being outdoors.”
