Each year, county boards are required to hold an Annual MUI Stakeholder’s meeting to discuss the previous year’s MUI data (Per OAC 5123-17-02(L)). On March 28, 2022, Summit DD’s stakeholder committee met to discuss the 2021 MUI data.

Some takeaways from the data review for 2021:

1. Overall, MUI numbers were at 1238 total categories investigated in 2021; which was a slight decrease compared to 2020
2. Significant decreases from 2021 were noted in the following categories:
   • Alleged Abuse Sexual
   • Alleged Neglect
   • Exploitation
   • Missing Individual
   • Unapproved Behavioral Supports

1. Significant increases from 2021 were noted in the following categories:
   • Alleged Abuse – Physical
   • Alleged Abuse – Verbal
   • Misappropriation
   • Attempted Suicide
   • Peer to Peer Acts
