Takeaways from Summit DD 2021 Annual MUI Review and Stakeholder’s Meeting

Each year, county boards are required to hold an Annual MUI Stakeholder’s meeting to discuss the previous year’s MUI data (Per OAC 5123-17-02(L)). On March 28, 2022, Summit DD’s stakeholder committee met to discuss the 2021 MUI data.

Some takeaways from the data review for 2021:

  1. Chart of Total MUI categories opened in 2021Overall, MUI numbers were at 1238 total categories investigated in 2021; which was a slight decrease compared to 2020
  2. Significant decreases from 2021 were noted in the following categories:
    • Alleged Abuse Sexual
    • Alleged Neglect
    • Exploitation
    • Missing Individual
    • Unapproved Behavioral Supports

    • Alleged Abuse – Physical
    • Alleged Abuse – Verbal
    • Misappropriation
    • Attempted Suicide
    • Peer to Peer Acts
